The new iPad can work in networks of LTE, but will continue to support third-generation networks. When connected to a mobile network tablet can "give away" the Internet of five other devices.

The unit was a little "fatter" than the iPad 2 – 9.4 versus 8.8 millimeters, and heavier – 635 grams vs 610.

On sale in the U.S. and in six other countries next generation iPad will arrive on March 16. The price of Wi-Fi-version of the device is 499-699 dollars. Devices with integrated 3G + LTE will cost 629-829 dollars. Modification of the tablet will be available with 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes of memory.

When the new iPad will be sold in Russia, Apple representatives did not say. Recall that the iPad 2 in Russian stores came after almost three months from the date of presentation of the device.

The second generation of tablets will be on sale. 16-gigabyte version of the device with Wi-Fi will become cheaper with 499 to 399 dollars, and with Wi-Fi and 3G – from 629 to 529 dollars.

At the presentation of the device was also announced the release of the iPad photo editor iPhoto and update "tablet" version of office suite iWork. Apple also added new features in GarageBand music application and the video editor iMovie.

iPad first generation was introduced in January 2010, iPad second generation – in March 2011. Beginning in April 2010, Apple sold 55 million units. According to analysts from IHS iSuppli, 62 percent of all delivered in 2011 were tablets tablet iPad.
